Disambiguation
[edit]Wake Up Dead Man is currently a redirect to Pop (U2 album). Since the song is not notable for a standalone article, the film will be the primary topic once filming commences and this article is moved to the mainspace, where it will usurp the existing redirect. A hatnote can link to the less notable U2 song. Unlike Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, since there is no need for further disambiguation, film article titles tend to drop "branding" subtitles per WP:CONCISE, e.g. Rogue One and Hobbs & Shaw. - That makes sense to me. Once this is in the mainspace, the U2 song would be moved to Wake Up Dead Man (song) anyway. I will note that I don't think a DAB page would be needed by then unless anything becomes complicated like with Glass onion. Trailblazer101 (talk) 01:28, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- That would be correct, per WP:ONEOTHER. InfiniteNexus (talk) 01:54, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Rusted AutoParts: I noticed you moved this draft to have the longer branding title, which I have reverted. Please take a look at this discussion in regards to the title of the draft and why it will be without the subtitle when in the mainspace. Trailblazer101 (talk) 01:03, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- I would rather the articles maintain consistency since Glass Onion has the A Knives Out Story subtitle, but I'm not going to push it. Rusted AutoParts 01:32, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
- I'm fine with keeping it at Wake Up Dead Man since there's no other standalone article of this title. Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is where it is because glass onion is a thing, and there is a Glass Onion (song). (No idea if people would have wanted Glass Onion (film) -- the subtitle is more natural but also longer.) Erik (talk | contrib) (ping me) 11:43, 12 June 2024 (UTC)
