The term "Unanimous National Champion" is appropriate for any FBS team that was voted, selected, or determined through a playoff as a National Champion at the highest level of college football by every recognized selector for that particular year. Between the 1900 and the 2023 College Football seasons, there have been 22 instances of a team being selected as national champion by every recognized selector.
