History
[edit]2023: Formation and first show
[edit]Thomas Augustin and Logan Allen met in high school and would form a band called Siskill with Max Wakeling before being split up to attend different colleges.[1]Thomas and Logan would reunite to attend hardcore shows in Burlington in the summer of 2022 and subsequently finding the inspiration to create their own two-piece hardcore band in the spring of 2023 with Logan on drums.[1]Thomas would go on to meet Croft in a class and he agreed to join the band on bass, who was also able to bring in Dmitri and Zach for the full-band lineup that they would go on to play with and moving Logan to vocals.
The band would play their first show in April of 2023 in Burlington, Vermont which would gain them "traction for [their] uniqueness and for being the only hardcore college band in the area" and would start playing regularly in the local hardcore scene.[1]
2024: Torn Takeover EP
[edit]Torn Takeover was released on January 5th, 2024 and consists of three songs.[2]
Style
[edit]In an interview with Carlos Ramirez of No Echo, Logan Allen describes the band's sound as "reminiscent of '80s and '90s beatdown hardcore riffs with more technical pinch harmonics inspired by modern metalcore".[1]
Influences
[edit]In that same interview, Logan cites Billy Club Sandwich and Undying as influences.
