Early Life and Education
[edit]Taavi Peelo was born in Estonia and lived there until he moved to the United Kingdom in 2014. He developed an interest in acting at a young age, joining the drama group Papa Kreutzwaldi Õueteater at the age of 10. He became one of the group's brightest stars, performing regularly in a variety of productions. Peelo attended Võru Kesklinna Gymnasium, from which he graduated in 2012.
After moving to the UK in 2014, Peelo pursued his passion for acting by joining the IPM Acting Academy, where he sought to transition into screen acting.
Acting Career
[edit]Peelo's acting career began in theatre at a young age, where he participated in multiple productions. Notably, he starred in the half-improvisational performance Glemm Kaputt, which was selected to compete in the national competition of Kooliteater 2009, after winning the county qualification stage. This performance received media coverage in Estonia.
Despite his early successes in theatre, Peelo expressed a desire to pursue screen acting, which led him to join the IPM Acting Academy in England.
Peelo's first screen role came shortly after joining IPM, where he played the character "Paul" in the medieval film Eight/VIII, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. This film marked the start of his career in television and film. Following this role, Peelo secured parts in several other projects, including the popular UK television series Emmerdale, where he portrayed a drug dealer [2], the drama The Syndicate, and the horror film Book of Monsters. He also appeared in the historical drama series Victoria, among other projects.
In 2016, Peelo made his directorial and producing debut with the film Unrequited Love, which explores the emotional dilemma of a young man who must choose between love and friendship. In the same year, he also worked on another film, Element, a project about a man attempting to escape from a world he has created.
