Seguín is a 1981 film dramatization of the life of Juan Nepomuceno Seguin written and directed. by Jesús Salvador Treviño.

The film follows Seguín's life, especially as he becomes one of the Mexican defenders of The Alamo[1], and his life during his involvement[2] in the Texas Revolution and the Mexican-American War[3].

The film was produced for KCET's Community Television of Southern California[2], filmed as part of a proposed PBS series "La Historia," and broadcast as part of PBS's "American Playhouse" series.[4]

Shot in just 21 days in Bracketville, Texas for $500,000 the film utilized the original sets from the John Wayne film, "The Alamo."[4]

Cast included some very prominent Latino/Mexican-American actors: Enrique Castillo, Lupe Ontiveros, Alma Martinez and Edward James Olmos
