Patric David Arne Elder; born May 27, 1973[1] is a Swedish Teacher and IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) coordinator at Sunway International School, Sunway Iskandar, Johor Bahru. [2] Elder serves several roles in the International Baccalaureate Educator Network (IBEN) such as School Visiting Team Leader. [3] Elder is currently embroiled in controversy for maladministration in his capacity as IBDP coordinator.
Early Life and Education
[edit]Elder was born in Sweden and migrated to Canada.[4]
Elder obtained a BEd from the University of Alberta in Technology which influenced Elders' teaching career. [5]
Early Career
[edit]After obtaining his degree, Elder migrated back to Sweden to teach a middle school. After 2 years of teaching in Sweden, Elder explored other endeavors, teaching in countries such as Azerbaijan, Qatar, China, The UAE and Vietnam. [6]
Fueled by his passion for the IB, Elder served several coordinator roles and became part of the IB's School Visiting Team. [7]
Sunway International School, Sunway Iskandar
[edit]Elder currently serves his most expansive and prominent roles in Sunway International School, Sunway Iskandar, a prominent Johor international school,[8][9][10] as the IBDP and IBCP coordinator.[11]
