Draft:Pacific Conference (NASL)
The Western Conference of the original North American Soccer League was an athletic conference established for the league's inaugural season in 1968. The conference was dissolved in 1969 due to a lack of teams playing in the league's second season. In 1977, the conference was effectively re-established as the Pacific Conference. While the conference was in use, the conference champion would play in the annual NASL Final (Soccer Bowl) against the Atlantic or Eastern Conference champion. Prior to the start of the 1978 season, the conference was once again dissolved alongside its Atlantic counterpart following the league's realignment into the American and National conference structure, similar to that of the National Football League and Major League Baseball.
