PRISM is The College of New Jersey's oldest gender and sexuality alliance. The main purpose of the organization is to provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ students on campus.[1]
The organization was previously known as GUTS (Gay Union of Trenton State).[2]
History
[edit]GUTS was created by Joseph Paul Schirehak on November 29, 1976. In these early years, preserving the anonymity of members was emphasized.
