(aged 80) | death_place ="OH Jung Myung is a Korean grandmaster of Taekwondo, who arrived in Melbourne, Australia in 1975 (History of Taekwondo in Australia, Australian Taekwondo Mogisul (federarion), written by Yong Dai Cho, researcher and Grandmaster of Taekwondo). Master Oh however arrived in Newcastle and then Melbourne earlier, in 1974.
He reached the Kukkiwon rank of Grandmaster level 9th Dan Black Belt, and was awarded his 10th Dan postumusouly in May 2024.
GM Oh was the instructor of Grandmaster Russell Wood, which he describes as a "Very good Korean instructor" and states that GM Oh "Taught me quite a great deal of various techniques". P 33 Australian martial arts magazine #1 issue, Nov 2021.
