Michael Deitchman aka the "World's Famous Mike D" is from Sandy Oregon and has been playing pool since he was 15. He moved 2 blocks from Classic Billiards and didn't leave until he was 22. His father, Carl Deitchman was the one who introduce Mike D to the game. Michael is active in the community competing in a BCA league and many tournaments. He also works with Littman Lights building their lighting fixtures.
Michael says that one of the most important things about pool is balance. Being able to balance love, career, family, and hobbies is what makes a successful player. One of Michael's most memorable moments so far was playing Efren Reyes in the 2022 Derby City Classic. He also won the Western BCA Masters Division in 8 Ball at Chinook Winds. Efren Reyes is Michael's inspirations and he says simply "he's the best to ever play".
--Current Rankings--
Currently a 650 Fargo and a Grand Master in the WBCA Mike D is focused on his game. Always trying to improve he practices daily and competes as much as he can. His advice to new players is to hit as many balls as you can, compete, get into some action, and enjoy the time you spend with others.
