Directors by jurisdiction
[edit]Represented political parties
[edit]In Metro Vancouver, the municipal councils of Burnaby, Delta, Langley township, Maple Ridge, New Westminster, Richmond, Surrey, and Vancouver have members belonging to municipal political parties or elector organizations. As a result, many members of the Metro Vancouver Board of Directors belong to a municipal political party, although the board does not formally recognize directors by their political party. Members are appointed by their respective councils to represent their municipality, and it is not uncommon for councillors of opposition or minor parties to be appointed as alternates.
