Biography
[edit]Born around 1080, perhaps near Longpont, Marie was the daughter of a Knight, Renaud de Breuillet de Dourdan.[1][2] She had 3 brothers, two of whom, N.N. de Brueillet and Godefroy de Breuillet became monks of the Longpont Abbey.[3]
At Court
[edit]She became a mistress of future King, Louis VI of France until 1104, when she left for a Parisian convent.[3][4] In 1105, Marie gave birth to a daughter, Isabelle of France (1105–1175); married William of Vermandois, seigneur of Chaumont in 1117.[5]
