Karm Chawla is an Indian cinematographer and director known for his works on the Kannada Blockbuster Hit Kirik Party and the Kannada cult-classic Ulidavaru Kandanthe.[1] He also directed the Kannada Sports Drama titled 10 (2022 film) with actor Vinay Rajkumar.[2]

Personal life

Karm received his early education at St. George's College, Mussoorie. At Hansraj College, Delhi University, he pursued B.A. English Honours. He is also an alumni of the esteemed L.V. Prasad Film & Television Academy.[3]

Career

Karm's first Kannada film was cult-classic Ulidavaru Kandanthe starring Rakshit Shetty.[4] He then worked on Vascodigama and Run Anthony.

Karm's next Kannada film was Kirik Party, a blockbuster hit.[5] His work for Rakshit Shetty's most big scale ambitious project "Avane Srimannarayana", although not as successful as Kirik Party at the box-office, received positive reception for its cinematography.[6] He debuted as a director with 10 (2022 film).[7] He has also worked on Telugu films such as Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, Pakka Commercial, Ravi Teja's Eagle (2024 film).
