Jake Strain[3] signed himself and launched his own independent record label Swaggertown Records in 2015 in Upstate New York.[4][5] Jake's first couple of singles were released in 2015-2016, which were mostly remixes and singles. Jake's first breakout single to gain national attention was a track in late 2016, "A Bizarre Cypher" featuring D12. It has surpassed three million streams on Spotify.[7] Jake followed up in 2020 by releasing a collaboration with Afroman 420 which has surpassed two million views on YouTube. Jake released a few songs off his debut album Cloud 9, including "09", and "People Things & Places".[8][9]
