Akioya is a digital native, and technology entrepreneur, with several companies including SA Global Logistics, Supply Chain Africa (co-founded), and Maasai Technologies (co-founded).[3]
Early Life and Career
[edit]Izin Akioya has over a decade of professional experience in marketing, business development, and strategic communications, with a focus on creating solutions to foster business growth and economic development. She has worked in sectors ranging from consumer goods and advertising to think tank/public policy and technology startups.[4][5]
As an entrepreneur, she founded an e-commerce company which shortly after evolved into SA Global Logistics, aimed at addressing logistical challenges for African small and medium enterprises (SMEs), со-founded Supply Chain Africa, an industry publisher and consulting practice, and co-founded Maasai, a platform to buy and sell startups in Africa.[6]
In addition to her entrepreneurial activities, Akioya has published a memoir on personal identity, a book of poetry, and articles/reports on trade and logistics in Africa, and participated in various national and international efforts to improve trade and investment, combining her professional expertise with a commitment to socio-economic development.[7][8]
