When 14 years old, Gustav acted in Close by Lukas Dhont as Rémi. During a summer theater camp, he got recommended by Dhont's friend Oliver Roels for the casting of the movie.[1][2] Close was submitted by Belgium to the 95th Academy Rewards in the category Best International Feature Film[3] and was eventually nominated.[4] Gustav is currently studying at Kunsthumaniora Brussel.[5]
