Gianmarco Tocco (born 28 May 1996[3]), known as Blur, is an italian online Internet personality and online streamer.[4][5]

Career

[edit]

Tocco, known by his pseudonym Blur, began his career on YouTube in 2014 focusing on the video game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

In 2017, he expanded his presence to Twitch, where he broadened his content to include games such as Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, FIFA and Sdrogo Corse.

His popularity surged during the pandemic, supported by notable collaborations with fellow content creators and an active subreddit that contributed to his growth. Blur's high-energy streaming style, characterized by constant interaction with his audience, helped solidify his status both in Italy and internationally.

With 1.7 million followers on Twitch and nearly 8,000 hours of streaming, Blur has established himself as one of Italy's leading streamers. He has been recognized as a Red Bull Player and represented the Italian Team Stallions[6] in the Kings League alongside Francesco Totti.[7]

Records

[edit]

On 26 May 2024, he set a new record for the highest number of concurrent viewers in a single live stream on Twitch Italy, surpassing the previous record of 150,000 held by Zano XVII. During the stream, Blur reached "206,778 concurrent viewers", breaking the Italian record previously held by Cristiano Spadaccini (Zano).[8] His channel also became "the most-watched Twitch channel globally" for two hours that evening. This record was achieved as Blur's team, the "Stallions", where he serves as president, began their journey in the tournament.[9]

With 70.656 subscribers, he is the most subscribed Italian Twitch channel and also the 28th most-subscribed Twitch streamer of all time.
