Frankie Chan Sui Fai (born July 29, 1988) is a male Hong Kong idol. In 2018, he participated in the ViuTV talent show "Good Night Show - King Maker” as contestant number 7. He made to the top 30 before being eliminated. Later, he joined the boy band MIRROR. His fans are called "Peibobo" (meaning Frankie's baby).

Career

Frankie Chan was born in Hong Kong on July 29, 1988. He attended St. Joseph's Primary School and graduated from Chung Wah Middle School..[1] In 2018, he participated in the ViuTV talent show Good Night Show - King Maker as the 7th contestant. Although he was eliminated in the top 30, he was invited to join the boy band MIRROR as one of the twelve members on 1 November of the same year.

In 2022, he played a self-criticism character called Never in the ViuTV series drama In Geek We Trust.[2]

After recovering from the tragedy of the concert in July 2022, ViuTV decided to broadcast TV series drama Into The Wild as the restart of Mirror back to the audience. He played as a Mathematic teacher in the drama.

During the first half of 2023, Frankie was mainly involved in the group song and shows. In early August, it was announced that he took up a challenge to be the main actor of a musical drama "The Final Call:929G" which performed at the Grand Theatre, Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon[3] from 16 September 2023 to 24 September 2023. This musical was his first solo live performance. [4]

On January 5, 2024, Frankie's first solo song 《皮思苦》was debuted on all music platform.[5]

Personal Life

Drummer Hugh of Supper Moment is Frankie's high school classmate. Both of them studied at Chung Wah Kornhill Secondary School, located in the Eastern District of Hong Kong. Singer Hubert Wu is Frankie's primary/elementary school classmate. Former TVB artist Vicky Chan (formerly known as Chan Wai Kei) is Frankie's cousin[6] . Frankie studied for the Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management at Hong Kong Polytechnic University during his university years.[7]

Before joining MIRROR, he was a dancer and had danced as a backup dancer for various artists.[8]

On May 1, 2022, he announced on his Instagram that he broke up with his girlfriend after 13 years.[9] Frankie announced starting a new relationship [10] during the interview after 2023 Ultimate Song Chart.
