Eric J. Rose is an American business executive who is the founder and chief executive officer of Event Risk.[1][2][3]
Career
[edit]Rose began his career in the United States Marine Corps in 1996, serving in the Marine Anti-Terrorism Security Team. After his military service, Rose worked in executive protection and internal theft investigation for a family listed in Forbes.[4]
Rose then transitioned into law enforcement, serving as a police officer with assignments in the Gang Suppression Unit and as a field training officer. Until October 2013, Rose served as a K9 unit dog handler for the Madison Township Police Department.[4] Following this, Rose transitioned to a role as a K9 trainer with the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command in Virginia Beach, Virginia.[4]
Rose has worked at Pinkerton, managing security for Fortune 500 companies and entertainment events such as the Super Bowl, Grammys, and Emmys. He is also known as a former bodyguard to many celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and John Legend.[5]
In 2019, Rose founded Event Risk, a firm providing physical security and consulting services.[5]
Rose is credited for evacuating Madison Square Garden during the Jennifer Lopez concert in the 2019 blackout of New York City.[5]
