This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

- Comment: Please add more independent and reliable sources—such as news articles and music reviews from trustworthy sources—correspondingly with unsourced claims in the draft to verify the information here. You continue to add more unsourced content to the draft, such as in the DJ career section. biographies of living persons require this information to be verified more than any other type of Wikipedia article. - Comment: Please see WP:MUSICBIO. References from independent and reliable sources are needed to demonstrate notability. Bandcamp, IMDb and other blogging websites are not considered reliable on Wikipedia. Hitro talk 16:20, 17 November 2024 (UTC)

Paul Massey, known professionally as the DustRoom, is a Sheffield-based drum & bass, breakbeat, and neurofunk producer. For over 30 years, he has used the name the DustRoom across various websites, forums, and platforms such as Discord. Initially adopted as a username, the DustRoom became his DJ alias and later evolved into his brand on Instagram and in music production.
Early Career
[edit]Paul Massey began his musical journey in 1994, working with a collection of analogue synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers such as the Roland TB-303, Juno 60, SH-101, and instruments from Moog Music, Sequential Circuits, and Korg. These tools became central to his development as an artist. Adopting the moniker the DustRoom, he gained experience as a DJ, hosting a regular House music slot on the internet radio station Freakin until its closure.
His use of the DustRoom name on online forums and platforms helped establish an early digital presence, which later became linked to his music.
the DustRoom
[edit]After a hiatus, Massey revived the DustRoom in 2024, using material developed during jam sessions in the COVID-19 lockdowns to produce new drum & bass, breakbeat, and future bass tracks. His release “Break” was covered by several music news, music reviews and music blog websites throughout the world [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]. His music quickly gained traction on platforms like Spotify, where it appeared on over 750 playlists and accrued more than 50,000 streams in its first few months.
His releases are through Purple Recordings, with distribution via Dig Dis!, and are available across major streaming platforms and online stores, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, and YouTube Music. Later, his music was also made available on Beatport, further expanding his reach in the electronic music scene.
