Dovi Frances (Hebrew: דובי פרנסס) is an Israeli-American entrepreneur, venture capitalist and the founder of Group 11, a venture capital firm based in Los Angeles, which focuses on investing in fintech startups.[1][2][3][4][5]
Early life and education
[edit]Frances earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in management from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel. He later pursued an MBA at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Early in his career, he worked in private banking and financial services, where he gained experience managing wealth for high-net-worth individuals.[6][7]
Venture capital career
[edit]Frances established Group 11 (previously SGVC), a venture capital firm aimed at supporting fintech companies. His firm has been involved with various companies in the financial technology space. Frances is recognized for his interest in supporting companies that aim to innovate within financial services.[8][9][10][11][12]
In November 2024, Globes reported that he had been nominated to establish the Israel AI National Directorate. [13]
