Dae'Quan Tariq Wright (born September 21, 2003) is an American football tight end for the Ole Miss Rebels. He previously played for the Virginia Tech Hokies.
Early life and high school
[edit]Wright attended Perry High School located in Perry, Georgia. Coming out of high school, he was rated as a three-star recruit and committed to play college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies.[1][2]
College career

[edit]In Wright's true freshman season in 2022, he notched 19 receptions for 208 yards.[3] During the 2023 season, Wright would take over as the Hokies starting tight end midway through the season where he hauled in 28 receptions for 366 yards.[4] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Wright decided to enter his name into the NCAA transfer portal.[5][6]
Ole Miss
[edit]Wright decided to transfer to play for the Ole Miss Rebels.[7][8] In week nine of the 2024 season, Wright hauled in three receptions for 54 yards, as he helped the Rebels to a win over the Oklahoma Sooners.[9] In week ten, Wright had a breakout game, bringing in nine receptions for 99 yards and two touchdowns, as he helped Ole Miss to a rout over the Arkansas Razorbacks.[10]
