History

CoinGecko was founded in 2014 by TM Lee[10] and Bobby Ong[11][12][13] with the goal of democratizing cryptocurrency data access.[14]

The company is headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and has expanded its global presence with a large user base across various countries. CoinGecko has continuously evolved by integrating features such as decentralized finance (DeFi) tracking, non-fungible token (NFT) monitoring, and yield farming[15] analytics.[8]
