The Canadian National class K-5-a was a class of five steam locomotives built by the Montreal Locomotive Works (MLW) for the Canadian National Railway.
Preservation
[edit]Out of the five locomotives built, only two locomotives are in preservation:
- #5702 - On static display at the Canadian Railroad Historical Association in Delson, Quebec.
- #5703 - On static display at the Elgin County Railway Museum in St. Thomas, Ontario as #5700.
There was a plan to preserve the first member of the class, no. 5700, but due to issues with communication, 5700 was scrapped.
