NPAW (Nice People at Work) is a global provider of business intelligence and analytic solutions designed to enhance the quality of experience for online media companies.[1] The primary industry NPAW serves is big data & video intelligence, catering mainly to streaming platforms, media companies, and telecommunications providers.[2][3][4][5] NPAW's solutions are utilized by over 190 online media customers globally, processing more than 150 billion video plays annually.[4] NPAW is headquartered in Barcelona, Spain with offices in New York and Darmstadt, Germany.[6][7][8]

History

The company was founded in 2008 by Sergi Vergés and Ferran G. Vilaró, the co-founders of Wuaki TV, a streaming service acquired by Rakuten in 2012.[9][10]

In 2013, the company changed strategy to focus on analytics and began developing it's Analytics Quality-of-Service (QoS) platform, YOUBORA[10][11]

in 2018, NPAW launched the YOUBORA Suite, an advanced video analytics platform.[6][11]

In April 2020, Suma Capital became a shareholder in NPAW to support the company's ambitious international expansion plans. The investment aimed to bolster NPAW's growth and enhance its global presence.[12][13][8]

In 2022, NPAW joined teh CDN Alliance as a founding member.[14]

Technology and Products

NPAW Suite: NPAW's flagship product, providing video performance analytics across multiple platforms and measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) such as buffering, video quality, and user engagement.[6]

YOUBORA Mobile App: an extension of thier integrated video analytics solution specifically designed to give 24/7 visibility over streaming service performance, on the go.[15][16]

Publisher Analytics: A tool for editorial content optimization, including features like A/B testing for headlines and real-time tracking of content engagement.[17][18]

Author Tracking: Launched in 2024 as a feature to the Publisher Analytics product. The AI-powered tool monitors editorial content by author and compares the following metrics: Total navigations, Total Clicks, Quality clicks, Low quality clicks, Average scroll depth, Average navigation time.[19][20][21]

App Analytics: A product that integrates app diagnostics with video analytics, enabling streaming providers to monitor and resolve issues such as app crashes, login failures, and UI problems.[22][23][24][23]

CDN Balancer: A smart system to balance loads between content delivery networks[25][26]

NaLa: A natural language-based video insights search tool. NPAW's second-generation AI companion improves issue resolution by analyzing large volumes of data to protect viewer satisfaction and reduce costs.[27][28][29][30][31]
