Darren Young (born 28 February 1981) is a New Zealand football defender, A retired footballer, With clubs that included Barnsley (UK), Football Kings (Australian Prem League) Waterford United and Athlone Town (League of Ireland)Irish club Athlone Town. He has represented New Zealand at under-20level.
Darren Young started his senior career as a 17yr old playing for Waitakere City, in this season he became you youngest player to play in the Chatham Cup final since 1972.[2] He also represented New Zealand at under-20 level.[3]
