Oreocarya crymophila is a perennial plant in the family Boraginaceae.[2][3] It is commonly called subalpine cryptantha.[3]
Habitat and range
[edit]It is found in the Alpine and Tuolumne Counties, south of Lake Tahoe, in the Sierra Nevada range of California.[4] It is generally found in rocky volcanic soil or scree.[5]
Description
[edit]Oreocarya crymophila has many stems with prickly leaves.[5] It grows to a height of 5–16 inches (13–40 cm).[5] The nutlets have winged margins.[3]
