The Film and Media Studies program (FMS) of Tufts University, formerly known as Communications and Media Studies (CMS), is the university's largest interdisciplinary minor program,[1][2] which offers undergraduate majors and minors in film and media studies. It is affiliated with the Experimental College of Tufts University.[3] Since 1997, FMS has awarded minors to nearly 1,000 students.[4] Additionally, FMS supports student internships for academic credit at various global media companies.[5] FMS also sponsors awards and events, such as The Edward R. Murrow Forum on Issues in Journalism, The Eliot-Pearson Awards for Excellence in Children's Media, and the P.T. Barnum Awards for Excellence in Entertainment.[6]
