Created 2015-07-01. Implemented by the new template {{R fw}}.

2015-07-02. This covers all redirect pages (61) related to The Chronicles of Prydain – either directly or in one of its three subcategories for characters (or creatures, races, species); elements (or objects, concepts); and locations (or places, settings).

By design, those pages in the subcategories uniquely represent entities without Wikipedia articles. (Many of them were converted to redirects by replacement of articles, with or without merge of content. Commonly I completed redirect template {{Rcat}} with an explanatory note to that point; for example see Kaw (character) and select "show".) This parent category contains, approximately, alternative and modified page names for entities that do have their own Wikipedia articles as well as those represented by pages in the subcategories. In a manner of speaking, that is, the substantial redirects and no others have been diffused to the subcategories.

All known Prydain-related redirects are classified, all using Redirect templates, in one of four redirect categories – the parent category Prydain redirects, which is implemented by the new template {{R fw}}, or one of its three subcategories for substantial redirects, which are implemented by {R fc}, {R fe}, and {R fp}.

2015-07-26. Added two redirects; now 63 including 23 pages in this parent.

It is no longer true that "the substantial redirects and no others have been diffused to the subcategories." The Black Cauldron (video game) is substantial, for an entity that does not have its own Wikipedia article, but it is not diffused to a subcategory. The other 22 are secondary page names, of which one is printworthy: Taran and the Magic Cauldron is the name of the Prydain film outside North America. --P64 (talk) 17:23, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
