I believe that this category has the potential for development. However, at the moment, it contains only a few articles. It is worth noting that articles in this category need to be about mental health not mental illness. Articles about specific mental health problems are listed in Category:Mental illness diagnosis by DSM and ICD and category:Abnormal psychology.

I would be grateful if some articles can be put into this category to populate it, or any other thoughts on the matter --Vincej 14:39, 18 July 2005 (UTC)

Mental Health Organizations

I believe there should be a subcategory for Mental Health Organizations to include NIMH, NAMI, etc. -George100 07:15, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Parent categories

I have reverted the previous edit because it is appropriate that psychology and psychiatry are subcategories of mental health as mental health is broader concept that encompasses the two. I also think that mental health is a health speciality. You are welcome to debate this but please do so here before making any further changes. Thanks. --Vince 19:26, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Categories

I have added this category back as a subcategory of category:positive mental attitude. Mental health is a personal entity and so should be part of positive mental attitude as a sub-category of self-care. Please refer to the category tree from the main page.

I have removed from public health and put it in the parent category of category:health specialties. This seems uncontentious to me as it is a major division within health.
