[edit]- Category:J-Novel Club books to Category:J-Novel Club titles – C2C, see Category:Yen Press titles, Category:Seven Seas Entertainment titles, Category:Vertical (publisher) titles, etc. Link20XX (talk) 21:50, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
- Conditional oppose. The three examples given are sub-categories of Category:Comics titles by company, while this is a sub-category of Category:Books by publisher. If J-Novel Club is a book publisher then nothing should change. If it is a comic publisher, then the category should also change. Gonnym (talk) 10:03, 1 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Gonnym: J-Novel Club started as only publishing novels, however, recently they have begun acquiring manga too, so their library is a mix of both manga and novels, like the others. For manga they licensed, see The Faraway Paladin, Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles, and How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom to name a few. Link20XX (talk) 00:38, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
- Then probably the best solution, since we have two competing naming conventions, is to create a Category:J-Novel Club category which then holds both titles and books sub-categories. Gonnym (talk) 09:14, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Gonnym: Yen Press, Vertical, and Seven Seas all share one category for both novels and manga though. How is this any different than that? Link20XX (talk) 14:45, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
- Agree with Gonnym. Category:J-Novel Club books is a subcat of Category:Books by publisher (the only parent) which has a clear convention. So 'titles' should be split out. Same goes for any others. Oculi (talk) 17:49, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Oculi: So then what about the others I just listed? As-is, they both have novels and manga. Should that be adjusted? Link20XX (talk) 22:22, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
