I've returned this category to Category:Death in the United States. Category:Extinction is part of Category:Death. Therefore, it is appropriate to include an Extinction by region category in a concurrent Death by region category. The only way this would not be appropriate would be if a) Category:Extinction were removed from Category:Death, or b) Category:Death in the United States was renamed and rescoped at WP:CFD to Category:Human death in the United States.
