Question

[edit]

Hi -- I created the entry on Abraham Rhinewine, having just joined Wikipedia and not knowing much about how to create pages.

I see that he is listed under "A" here rather than "R" which seems confusing since most listings are by last name. But I presume that has something to do with how I named the page, "Abraham Rhinewine"? Perhaps there are different ways to name the page that would cause it to be listed alphabetically by last name in pages similar to this "Canadian Jews" page?

Thanks for any info on this.

I see Earl Barish with the "E" section. He should be in the "B" section. How do this get fixed? Openskye (talk) 01:47, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Jewish descent" versus Jew

[edit]

See the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Judaism#"Jewish descent" versus Jew concerning the problems of using the term "Jewish descent" versus "Jew" as well as the related proposal. Thank you, IZAK 09:54, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
