Ali Madad Jattak is a Pakistani politician from Quetta District who has been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan since February 2024.
Early life
[edit]He completed his matriculation from Saryab High School and obtained his bachelor's degree from Bolan Medical College.
Career
[edit]He contested the 2024 general elections as a Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians candidate from PB-45 Quetta-VIII and secured 5710 votes. The runner-up was Mir Muhammad Usman Pirkani of JUI-F, who secured 4,346 votes.[1][2]
On 19 April 2024, the Balochistan Governor Abdul Wali Kakar administered the oath of office as a minister to Jattak.[3] On 20 April 2024, the Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti allotted the portfolio of ministry of agriculture and cooperatives to Jattak.[4]
On 16 September 2024, Jattak's victory was declared null and void by an election tribunal headed by Justice Abdullah Baloch of the Balochistan High Court. The tribunal ordered re-polling at 15 polling stations in the PB-45 Quetta constituency.[5]
