Alatau (Russian: Алатау; Kazakh: Алатау), Alatoo (Kyrgyz: Алатоо), Alatagh or Alatag (Turkish: Аladağ) is a generic name for a number of mountain ranges in Central Asia, characterized by interleaving areas of vegetation, scattered rocks and snows.
