Johnston's river frog (Amietia johnstoni), or Tshiromo frog, is a species of frog in the family Pyxicephalidae. It is endemic to Malawi.

Its natural habitats are tropical moist montane forests, high-altitude grassland, and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.
