Adi Fahrudin

Adi Fahrudin (born January 12, 1966)[1] is an Indonesian academic. He is dean of the Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya and a professor of social work under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia.[2][3][1]

He is editor-in-chief of the Asian Social Work Journal (ASWJ).[4] He was the first professor in social welfare in Indonesia.[5]

Academic career

Adi Fahrudin currently serves as the director of the Institute for Research, Community Service, and Publication (appointed in June 2022) and as dean of the Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya (since August 2023). From 2012 to 2022, was professor in social work at the University of Muhammadiyah Jakarta.[6] He was professor at the Bandung Polytechnic of Social Welfare from 1993 to 2011.[7][8]

He has been a visiting professor at Japan College of Social Work, Tokyo, Japan (2018–2025); Universiti Malaysia Sabah (2015–2023); Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (2014–2015); and Universiti Sains Malaysia (1997–1998).[9]
