- ^ Not officially named in lists of abbots, however AFM963.15 denotes him 'head of the hospitality of Leinster', which undoubtedly refers to the head of Leinster's church, i.e. Kildare. The Ua Guaire were 'lords of Ui Cuilén' (AFM1032.18) possibly suggesting there was a relationship to Cairbe Ua Guaire's predecessor.
