These are the official results of the men's 110 metres hurdles event at the 1983 IAAF World Championships in Helsinki, Finland. There were a total number of 28 participating athletes, with four qualifying heats, two semi-finals and the final held on 12 August 1983.[1]

Qualifying heats

The qualifying heats took place on 11 August, with the 28 athletes involved being split into 4 heats. The first 3 athletes in each heat ( Q ) and the next 4 fastest ( q ) qualified for the semifinals.
