Bhatter College Dantan, also known simply as Dantan College, is an undergraduate, coeducational college situated in Dantan, Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. It was established in 1963.[1] The college is under Vidyasagar University.[2]

The college aims at overall development of the locality and its adjoining areas directly through education and indirectly through participation in various socio-economic, cultural and welfare activities.

The college offers different undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the science, arts, and commerce branch. This college aims at imparting education to the undergraduates of lower- and middle-class people of Dantan, and its adjoining areas.

The science faculty consists of the departments of Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.

Arts and Commerce

The arts and commerce faculty consists of the departments of Bengali, English, Sanskrit, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Education, Geography, and Commerce (Accounting and Finance).

Accreditation

Recently, Bhatter College has been awarded "A" grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).[3] The college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).[1]
