Komi Sje (Ԍ ԍ; italics: Ԍ ԍ) is a letter of the Molodtsov alphabet, a version of the Cyrillic alphabet that was used to write the Komi language in the 1920s. It represented the voiceless alveolo-palatal sibilant /ɕ/, somewhat like the pronunciation of ⟨sh⟩ in "shoe".

Appearance

Although it looks like the Latin letter G (G g G g), or the IPA voiced uvular plosive symbol which is /ɢ/ it is unrelated and is more related to the letter Latin letter C, it's perhaps based off of the Cyrillic Es (С с С с), but with its bottom right extending up, although in some fonts, it has the spur.

Komi Sje with acute accent

(Ԍ́ ԍ́; italics: Ԍ́ ԍ́), is a little bit aspirated, so it represents [ɕ^h].
